We’ve got a whole library of practical tips to help you and your family get moving! Keep it fun by trying out some of our challenges, too.
Try mixing things up each week to help work different muscle groups and improve your kids' posture, mobility and balance. Why not watch a clip on YouTube of stretching and do bursts of activity during a TV ad break - the kids can get involved too.
If your child is in a stroller encourage them to walk for some of the journey.
Get the kids involved in the garden. They can help with tasks like digging holes for plants, carrying watering cans or raking leaves into piles.
Next time, instead of rewarding the kids with TV, computer or electronic games, why not reward them with balls, kites, skipping ropes or something that gets them active?
You and your little ones can have great fun playing with simple household items like boxes, pots, pans and hoops to encourage reaching, stretching, crawling and moving. Put your stray plastic lids or containers into a bottom drawer for them to play with!
