We’ve got a whole library of practical tips to help you and your family get moving! Keep it fun by trying out some of our challenges, too.
There are lots of things you can do at home to build strength. Why not try using tins of tomatoes as hand weights?
Next time, instead of rewarding the kids with TV, computer or electronic games, why not reward them with balls, kites, skipping ropes or something that gets them active?
Like most changes, start small. Try doing ten laps of the backyard jogging or get the skipping rope out. Any activity that gets your heart rate up and huffing and puffing will do you good.
Try standing up to read notes when you're at work or you're talking on the phone, and get the kids to move in each ad break of their favourite TV show.
If you're getting active for the first time or just starting out and feel a little nervous, trying new activities together as a family is a great way to help support you and overcome any fears.
