Tips to help your family sit less and move more

We’ve got a whole library of practical tips to help you and your family get moving! Keep it fun by trying out some of our challenges, too.


  • Try to limit how much time you and your family spend sitting down during the day. Get moving and play a fun game instead - plenty of ideas can be found in our Resources.

  • Bring the bikes, scooters and ball so the kids can play while you work out!

  • When dropping the kids at school, park a block or two away so you can walk the rest of the way together. It's a great way to avoid the school drop off traffic (and get some physical activity into your day too!).

  • Your little ones will love playing with balls, bats, tricycles and kites (with supervision) – they're all activities that encourage movement.

  • Your little ones will love opportunities to practice their kicking and catching balls, climbing and balancing with you.
