Doing any physical activity is better than none - every little bit counts. So if you're getting active for the first time or just starting out and feel a little nervous, trying new activities together with friends or family will help.
If you're driving for more than two hours, stop, revive and survive. Stop at a park or rest area so you can all get out and move.
When dropping the kids at school, park a block or two away so you can walk the rest of the way together. It's a great way to avoid the school drop off traffic (and get some physical activity into your day too!).

A fun way to get active while reading with your kids is to read a book out loud and act out parts of the story. If a character is running, you could run on the spot or around the house too.
