Tips to get your family into life

With a few pointers from the tips below, you and your family could get more out of every day. Or, try some of our challenges to really get things rolling!


  • Instead of your family watching TV or playing games on your phone, computer or other devices, try to get moving together as a family instead! To find out more go to the resources section.

  • It's not always easy but try to serve the same healthy meal to the whole family - it's a great way to be together and enjoy eating.

  • Play word games together. Make up pretend words, "knock knock" jokes or "why did the chicken cross the road?" jokes… anything that makes you all laugh!

  • If you've got a dog, kicking or throwing the ball for the dog will keep everyone on the move. 

  • Dinner time can sometimes be too difficult at the end of a busy day - why not start a day together as a family? Eating together is a great way to share what the day's plans are and get everyone off to a positive start!
