With a few pointers from the tips below, you and your family could get more out of every day. Or, try some of our challenges to really get things rolling!
Looking for a community or sporting group for you and your family to join is one way to meet new people with similar interest to yours. Check out ACT Communities Online to see if there is a group that suits your family.
Time spent looking at a screen generally means time not spent exercising or connecting with your family - and with so much technology around it's easy to lose track of time. Playing with balloons can be fun and active for all ages. Join the kids in a game of punching, kicking or throwing balloons and keeping them off the ground for as long as possible.
Encourage polite and respectful behaviour at meal times. Try to wait until everyone is seated before you start eating.
Next time why not walk to the shops instead of driving? It's a great chance to talk with your kids, or maybe even play a game of 'I spy' or 'Spot the object' along the way.
