On long car trips be aware of screen time and switch off for a set time. Play fun games like making words out of other cars' number plates, 'I spy', or you can all sing along to music (making sure to change the rhyming words to make it a funny song).
Board games like snakes and ladders, dominoes and simple card games will teach your kids the concept of fair play, and how to win or lose graciously.
Kids aged four or under should limit watching TV or playing electronic games for entertainment to no more than an hour per day.
