With a few pointers from the tips below, you and your family could get more out of every day. Or, try some of our challenges to really get things rolling!
Give your kids chances to practice talking with others and learn how to listen and be understood, share, take turns, follow rules and be kind and helpful.
Try using incentives to get your kids to want to eat at the table. Your younger ones could blow out a candle at the end of the meal and older kids could light the candle (under parental supervision).
Instead of watching TV, put on some music or play an audio book - these activities can be great for your kids' imaginations.
If it's raining outside, why not pretend to be the weather? Swirl like the wind, stomp and clap like thunder, or dance a sunny jig to chase the clouds away!
Your kids are usually more influenced by what you do than what you say. It's not always easy but if you try to set a good example they'll follow in your footsteps!
