With a few pointers from the tips below, you and your family could get more out of every day. Or, try some of our challenges to really get things rolling!
Life as a parent often feels like it's a rush from one thing to the next. Try to take some time out for yourself this week by locking a coffee date with a friend into your diary or catching up for some adult conversation. Your kids will learn that fostering friendships is important.
Try to set aside a regular time to talk with the kids. Get them to tell you about the three best things about their day. Not only will your child feel special, you'll be able to stay across what's going on in their lives.
Next time why not walk to the shops instead of driving? It's a great chance to talk with your kids, or maybe even play a game of 'I spy' or 'Spot the object' along the way.
Local libraries offer great author talks and activities especially for kids such as Giggle and Wiggle, Storytime and school holiday programs.
Give your kids chances to practice talking with others and learn how to listen and be understood, share, take turns, follow rules and be kind and helpful.
