With a few pointers from the tips below, you and your family could get more out of every day. Or, try some of our challenges to really get things rolling!
Life as a parent often feels like it's a rush from one thing to the next. Try to take some time out for yourself this week by locking a coffee date with a friend into your diary or catching up for some adult conversation. Your kids will learn that fostering friendships is important.
Try using incentives to get your kids to want to eat at the table. Your younger ones could blow out a candle at the end of the meal and older kids could light the candle (under parental supervision).
Try to reduce your screen time by turning off the TV, computer or game device when they're not in use.
Try cloud watching with your kids. Lie on the grass and talk about the different shapes, animals or faces you can see in the clouds above.
Plan your meals before the week gets busy and get the kids involved with setting the table and preparing the food. Not only will your kids benefit from better eating habits, your whole family will get the opportunity to speak to each other without any other distractions.
