Safe Cycle Years 5 and 6 is a TQI Accredited, Australian Curriculum aligned resource that helps students develop the skills and confidence to travel independently to and from school.
A range of resources are available to support ACT primary schools participating in the RWTS program to implement Safe Cycle Years 5 and 6.
To learn how to teach cycling and scootering safety skills to students in a fun and interactive way. Access to the Safe Cycle teaching course is available online at the Healthy Children's Learning Hub.
As part of the online learning package, teachers receive access to free online and practical interactive student activities to run at school which supports classroom learning.
Face-to-face Safe Cycle training for Years 5 and 6 is conducted by the Physical Activity Foundation once per term. Please contact the Physical Activity Foundation for specific times, locations and to register.
