Try to limit the time your kids spend sitting or lying down. To get the kids moving more, get the kids to move in the ad breaks of their favourite TV show.
Encourage the kids to try walking barefoot on different surfaces - try grass, carpet, concrete or sand.
Try using our Habit tracker to keep a track of how often your kids spend seated. You might be surprised how quickly the time spent commuting, at work or school or watching the television can add up.
If your child is in a stroller encourage them to walk for some of the journey.
Your little ones will love playing with balls, bats, tricycles and kites (with supervision) – they're all activities that encourage movement.
