Tips to help your family sit less and move more

We’ve got a whole library of practical tips to help you and your family get moving! Keep it fun by trying out some of our challenges, too.

  • Your little ones will love playing with balls, bats, tricycles and kites (with supervision) – they're all activities that encourage movement.

  • Next time you and the kids are heading out for a walk, why not see if your neighbour would like to join you?

  • Remember, doing any physical activity is better than none! Try using our Habit tracker to keep a track of how often your family does vigorous physical activity.

  • Get your little ones moving to music or try action songs like 'Head-Shoulders-Knees and Toes'.

  • If you're self-conscious about your body, start by being active with a partner or friend - or your whole family. Strength in numbers!
