We’ve got a whole library of practical tips to help you and your family get moving! Keep it fun by trying out some of our challenges, too.
Try mixing things up - go bike riding, play touch footy at one of your local ovals, go swimming at a public pool or go for a brisk walk (or even a light jog and see if your kids can keep up).
Shovelling or carrying heavy loads counts as physical activity, so keep it in mind when you have work to do in the garden!
Keeping active and doing vigorous physical activity - especially something that makes you huff and puff a bit - has great health benefits. Often kids get this exercise at school, but it's still important to do more activity when at home.
Put active family time in your diary. Visit playgrounds, parks, nature reserves, or ovals. Track how much time you are spending being active on our Habit tracker.
Join up with another family at the park and form teams to play a game of cricket or soccer.
