Small changes to your routine can mean more opportunities for your family to move more. Park your car in the furthest parking space from the shop's entrance, then walk to the shops.
Your little ones will love playing with balls, bats, tricycles and kites (with supervision) – they're all activities that encourage movement.
Don't rush things! If you or a member of your family are struggling to be active, start with what you can do and build it up over time. Check with your GP or health professional on what's best for you and your family.
Bring the bikes, scooters and ball so the kids can play while you work out!
With younger kids, call being active 'play time' and encourage activities that are fun as well as physical such as hop-scotch, skipping, tips/tag or hide-and-go-seek.
