Tips to help your family sit less and move more

We’ve got a whole library of practical tips to help you and your family get moving! Keep it fun by trying out some of our challenges, too.


  • Rediscover classic playground games with your kids, like hide-and-seek, follow the leader, stuck in the mud, or tip/tag games.

  • Try to mix things up - play with a frisbee or skipping rope, or go for a jog while the kids ride their bikes.

  • Try to keep family activities varied, and be sure to let your children take turns choosing what activity the family will do next.

  • We know it can be hard to do 60 minutes of activity a day - so start with 10 minutes once or twice a day and build your way up.

  • Blow bubbles and make a game of the kids chasing, catching and popping them. Make a tally of how many bubbles they catch and see if they can catch one more each time!
