Doing physical activity as a family helps you all to stick to your new routine - it's much more fun being active together!
Try not to overload your family with too much physical activity too quickly, or your kids may come to dislike being active. If they enjoy themselves (and see you're having fun too), it's more likely being active will become a natural part of their routine.
Kids aged five and over should limit watching TV or playing electronic games for entertainment to no more than two hours per day.
Try to limit the time your kids spend sitting or lying down. To get the kids moving more, get the kids to move in the ad breaks of their favourite TV show.
Your little ones will love opportunities to practice their kicking and catching balls, climbing and balancing with you.
