With a few pointers from the tips below, you and your family could get more out of every day. Or, try some of our challenges to really get things rolling!
Often our lives get so busy it's hard to find time to connect with other like-minded people. If you're not already, try to set up a monthly play group with a few friends who might be going through similar challenges as you are. The kids can play and you can catch up on all the news.
After school one day, why not have a surprise picnic with the kids and chat with them about their day at school?
Try using incentives to get your kids to want to eat at the table. Your younger ones could blow out a candle at the end of the meal and older kids could light the candle (under parental supervision).
Sitting on the couch or in front of a screen and mindlessly eating can seem like the easy option some days, but it can mean we're not paying attention to what or how much we're eating. Try to turn the TV off while eating a meal with your family to avoid any distractions.
Why not play dress ups with the kids using those old clothes you never wear? Use your imagination to act out different roles.
