With a few pointers from the tips below, you and your family could get more out of every day. Or, try some of our challenges to really get things rolling!
Often our lives get so busy it's hard to find time to connect with other like-minded people. If you're not already, try to set up a monthly play group with a few friends who might be going through similar challenges as you are. The kids can play and you can catch up on all the news.
Organise a barbecue for your street so everyone can meet their neighbours. For tips on making this happen, see www.neighbourday.org
Time spent looking at a screen generally means time not spent exercising or connecting with your family - and with so much technology around it's easy to lose track of time. Try allocating specific time periods for media use - preferably not during daylight hours when you can be active outdoors instead - to limit your family's screen time.
Raining outside? Set up an indoor obstacle course for the kids using boxes, couch cushions, blankets, or any other household items you can find. Download the Four games to keep you moving indoors game card from our Resources.
Try using our Habit Tracker to keep track of how often each family member spends in front of a screen. Using the television, electronic games, portable electronic devices or computers for entertainment can quickly add up.
