Enjoy the swings, slide and other equipment in your local park. Pretend the bark is hot coals and see if each of you can cross the play area without touching the ground.
Challenge your whole family to see how many push-ups, lunges or jumps you can all fit into five minute bursts. See if you can beat your best time week after week.
Challenge your family this week to do a 30 minute walk. Once you are comfortable with this, move to a brisk walk and if you are physically able to, progress to a jog. It does not have to be for a long time or distance, just take small steps to get started.
Get the family to try a new activity that you haven't tried before, or haven't done for a while. It may be a sport you can play together, going for a bike ride or even taking the family on a hike up one of Canberra's beautiful mountains.
