Challenge the family to spend one hour a day each day this week playing a board game. By connecting over a fun game you will not only be sparking conversation, but you will avoid the temptation to get behind a screen.
Can your family have a regular ‘no screen time’ each week? Start with an afternoon or night of no TV, social media, gaming or anything screen-related and build up to a whole day. Make sure you stick to the rules too!
At each meal time you share with your family, take turns of telling each other the three best things that happened during your day. Make sure everyone has a turn!
Get all the family to tell their digital and real-life friends and family which night is your no screen night, then if they see you online they can remind you of your commitment.
