The daily trips to and from school are terrific opportunities for kids to be active. The Ride or Walk to School Program aims to make the most of these opportunities and increase walking, cycling, scootering and use of public transport among school students in Canberra.
The Ride or Walk to School program is a free ACT Government service, delivered in schools by the Physical Activity Foundation. Visit their website for more information about the program and for details on how to get involved.
Launched in February 2016, Active Streets is an extension of Ride or Walk to School to help make the environment around schools safer to ride, walk, scooter or skate to and from school.
Visit the Active Streets page for more information.
